Amy was the most interesting character because she has to cope with the loss of her mother and is forced to unwilling go on a trip around the world but is then hijacked by pirates and even ends up falling for one of them, thats a lot of mixed emotion and events to happen to someone! I ended up picking this book because i had watched the movie Captain Phillips. Farouz in turn opens up to Amy about his difficult life in war-ridden Somali. Their stories are vivid and poignant, adding layers to a rich characterization, especially details of Somalian culture and mythology. But on the fifth of July the Daisy May sets sail with a complete crew, Amy, Dad and Stepmom.
